Sports Video Editing Internship

The ASM Hockey Group is seeking a Video Editing Intern to create dynamic video content for the West Chester Wolves.


Interns will produce highlight reels, social media videos, promotional edits, and game content, playing a key role in the team’s digital presence.


This is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills in sports video production and storytelling.


Location:


Semesters Available:

  • Fall Semester (September – December)

  • Spring Semester: (January – April)

  • Summer Semester: (May - August)

  • Full Hockey Season: (September - April)


Key Responsibilities

  • Create highlight reels, hype videos, and promotional content for social media, the team website, and game-day use

  • Edit behind-the-scenes content, interviews, and sponsor features

  • Maintain and organize a digital video library for media and marketing needs

  • Cut and edit game footage into system-specific, special teams, and player-focused clips

  • Label and organize video using platforms such as Hudl, Steva, or similar systems

  • Assist with opponent pre-scout videos and breakdown clips as needed


What You’ll Gain

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, etc.) — training available

  • Creative mindset with strong storytelling and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow direction

  • Interest in sports media or hockey (willingness to learn is key)


Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (Media Production, Film, Communications, Sports Management, or related field preferred)

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for games and events

  • Reliable transportation to PNY Sports Arena and off-site events


Status and Rate of Pay:

Your status will be part-time as an intern or volunteer, with no employee benefits. This is an unpaid position. You will receive academic credit through your current university or institution for this work-based learning experience in collaboration with ASM Hockey Group and your school. If you are not eligible to receive academic credit, or if your university does not grant credit for internships, this opportunity will automatically be classified as a volunteer position. If you have any questions about your eligibility for academic credit, please consult your university advisor, internship coordinator, or course professor.
