The ASM Hockey Group is seeking highly motivated college students for a Sports Marketing & Business Internship with the West Chester Wolves (NCDC & USPHL Premier).


This hands-on internship is designed for students who want real experience in sports marketing, business operations, and team management within a hockey organization.


Interns will work directly with team staff on game-day operations, marketing campaigns, sponsorship execution, and organizational strategy, gaining experience that translates directly to careers in sports.


This is not a sit-and-watch internship — interns will be actively involved in building and operating a competitive hockey organization.


Location:


Semesters Available:

  • Fall Semester (September – December)

  • Spring Semester: (January – April)

  • Summer Semester: (May - August)

  • Full Hockey Season: (September - April)


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with marketing campaigns, social media content, and digital promotions

  • Support game-day operations, including event setup, fan engagement, sponsor activations, and ticket initiatives

  • Represent the team at off-site events, including tournaments, sponsor functions, and community appearances

  • Help manage promotional materials, giveaways, signage, and marketing inventory

  • Engage with fans through in-game promotions, contests, and activations

  • Contribute to email marketing, theme nights, and special event planning

  • Assist with team logistics, including travel coordination and administrative support

  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and post-event recaps

  • Conduct community outreach to help grow the Wolves brand and fan base

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides)

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities

  • Interest in sports marketing, business, event planning, or operations

  • Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus, but not required (training available)


Minimum Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred)

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for games and events

  • Reliable transportation to PNY Sports Arena and off-site events


Status and Rate of Pay:

Your status will be part-time as an intern or volunteer, with no employee benefits. This is an unpaid position. You will receive academic credit through your current university or institution for this work-based learning experience in collaboration with ASM Hockey Group and your school. If you are not eligible to receive academic credit, or if your university does not grant credit for internships, this opportunity will automatically be classified as a volunteer position. If you have any questions about your eligibility for academic credit, please consult your university advisor, internship coordinator, or course professor.
