ASM Hockey Group is seeking hardworking, reliable Equipment Interns for the upcoming season. Interns will assist the team’s coaching staff with daily operations including setup, maintenance, and organization of hockey equipment and locker rooms. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing careers in athletic equipment management, sports operations, or team services.


Interns will gain hands-on experience working directly with players and staff, learning the behind-the-scenes logistics that keep teams running smoothly on and off the ice.


We are looking for energetic, outgoing individuals with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the sports and entertainment industry. In addition to the duties and objectives listed above, interns will have the opportunity to gain exposure to various departments and entities within ASM Hockey Group.


The ASM Hockey Group internship program is designed to provide an educational, skill-building, hands-on experience. A key component of the program is the opportunity for interns to earn college credit through their academic institution.


Status and Rate of Pay:

Your status will be part-time as an intern or volunteer, with no employee benefits. This is an unpaid position. You will receive academic credit through your current university or institution for this work-based learning experience in collaboration with ASM Hockey Group and your school. If you are not eligible to receive academic credit, or if your university does not grant credit for internships, this opportunity will automatically be classified as a volunteer position. If you have any questions about your eligibility for academic credit, please consult your university advisor, internship coordinator, or course professor.


ASM Hockey Group does not provide housing or transportation accommodations.



🗓️ Internship Terms Available:

  • Fall Semester: September – December

  • Spring Semester: January – April

  • Full Hockey Season: September - April


🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of locker rooms for home games

  • Organize and maintain team gear, uniforms, and supplies

  • Support laundry duties and cleaning of uniforms, towels, and equipment

  • Help with skate sharpening, stick preparation, and gear repairs (under supervision)

  • Load and unload team gear for road trips when applicable

  • Ensure a professional, clean, and organized locker room environment

  • Follow all safety protocols and handle equipment with care


🧾 Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment

  • Interest in hockey, sports equipment, or athletic operations preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods

  • Prior experience in team or equipment management is a plus but not required
