ASM Hockey Group is seeking high-energy, music-savvy individuals to serve as In-Game Music DJ Interns for the upcoming season. Interns will help create an electric atmosphere at home games by operating music systems and delivering timely, engaging audio content that enhances the fan experience.
Working directly with the Broadcast and Media teams, interns will be responsible for cueing music for warmups, in-game stoppages, goals, penalties, intermissions, and more. This role is perfect for students interested in live event production, sports entertainment, or audio engineering.
We are looking for energetic, outgoing individuals with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the sports and entertainment industry. In addition to the duties and objectives listed above, interns will have the opportunity to gain exposure to various departments and entities within ASM Hockey Group.
The ASM Hockey Group internship program is designed to provide an educational, skill-building, hands-on experience. A key component of the program is the opportunity for interns to earn college credit through their academic institution.
Status and Rate of Pay:
Your status will be part-time as an intern or volunteer, with no employee benefits. This is an unpaid position. You will receive academic credit through your current university or institution for this work-based learning experience in collaboration with ASM Hockey Group and your school. If you are not eligible to receive academic credit, or if your university does not grant credit for internships, this opportunity will automatically be classified as a volunteer position. If you have any questions about your eligibility for academic credit, please consult your university advisor, internship coordinator, or course professor.

🗓️ Internship Terms Available:
Fall Semester: September – December
Spring Semester: January – April
Full Hockey Season: September - April
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Operate music playback system during all home games and select team events
Create or maintain pre-game, in-game, and post-game music playlists
Play appropriate tracks for goals, penalties, timeouts, and crowd engagement moments
Assist with syncing music with on-ice and in-arena promotions
Work closely with Game Day staff to maintain a consistent audio experience
Stay on top of music trends and tailor choices to fan demographics
🧾 Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of music across genres and eras
Comfortable using audio software, playlists, and playback tools (e.g., Spotify, iTunes, or DJ software)
Ability to read the energy of the game and crowd to make on-the-fly decisions
Dependable, punctual, and able to focus under pressure
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience in DJ'ing, live event audio, or production is a plus
Must be available for nights and weekends
