ASM Hockey Group is seeking driven and creative individuals for its Business & Events Internship. This hybrid role is ideal for students who want to gain hands-on experience across multiple aspects of the sports industry, including business operations, marketing strategy, and live event execution.
Interns will collaborate with the front office to support sponsorship outreach, ticketing promotions, digital marketing, and game day coordination. This is a dynamic opportunity for anyone pursuing a career in sports management, marketing, communications, or event planning.
We are looking for energetic, outgoing individuals with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the sports and entertainment industry. In addition to the duties and objectives listed above, interns will have the opportunity to gain exposure to various departments and entities within ASM Hockey Group.
The ASM Hockey Group internship program is designed to provide an educational, skill-building, hands-on experience. A key component of the program is the opportunity for interns to earn college credit through their academic institution.
Status and Rate of Pay:
Your status will be part-time as an intern or volunteer, with no employee benefits. This is an unpaid position. You will receive academic credit through your current university or institution for this work-based learning experience in collaboration with ASM Hockey Group and your school. If you are not eligible to receive academic credit, or if your university does not grant credit for internships, this opportunity will automatically be classified as a volunteer position. If you have any questions about your eligibility for academic credit, please consult your university advisor, internship coordinator, or course professor.

Fall Semester: September – December
Spring Semester: January – April
Summer Semester: May - August
Full Hockey Season: September - April
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations
Assist with day-to-day team and facility operations
Track ticket sales, promotions, and sponsorship deliverables
Support community relations efforts and business development research
Marketing
Help execute social media campaigns, email newsletters, and digital promotions
Create or contribute to branded content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
Assist with design and distribution of marketing collateral (flyers, signage, etc.)
Events
Assist in planning and executing all aspects of game day and special events
Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and internal departments
Support in-arena activations, giveaways, and fan engagement initiatives
🧾 Qualifications:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Comfortable using Google Workspace; Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Willingness to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for games and events
Interest in hockey or live sports is a plus but not required
