West Chester, PA – October 4, 2024

The West Chester Wolves kicked off their season in style, thrilling 450 fans at PNY Sports Arena with a night to remember. Philadelphia Flyers legends Bernie Parent and Dave Schultz were on hand, dropping the ceremonial puck, meeting with players, and signing autographs for enthusiastic fans.

The evening also showcased future hockey stars as the Quakers' youth team took center stage during the first intermission with their "Mites on Ice" scrimmage, providing fans a glimpse of the next generation of talent. During the second intermission, three lucky fans had a chance to win big in a fan-favorite contest. One participant made an impressive shot from center ice, earning a $100 gift card from Teca Newtown Square.

On the ice, the Wolves dominated, securing a 5-1 win over the P.A.L. Junior Islanders. Though the Islanders struck first with a goal from Nolan King in the opening period, the Wolves quickly bounced back. Ryan Bradley answered just two minutes later, tying the game with assists from Liam McGuern and Anton Berg.

West Chester took control in the second period, as Harrison Kinne put the Wolves ahead with a goal at 4:25, assisted by Joshua Swan and Emil Szepesi. Later in the period, Bryan Weissler extended the lead with another tally, with assists going to Alec Alfieri and Maddox Goudie.

The Wolves continued their offensive pressure in the third, with Swan scoring at 8:09, assisted by Brayden Sprickman and Charles Becnel. Becnel then sealed the game with the final goal at 15:36, assisted by Szepesi and Swan.

Goaltender Griffin Davis stood tall between the pipes, shutting down the Islanders after the first period and securing the Wolves' victory with several key saves. His performance anchored the Wolves' defense and helped them secure another strong win early in the season.
